“…took me where I had not been in dance theater.”
– Alastair Macaulay, former chief dance critic of The New York Times
The Department of Dance presents a performance by MADBOOTS DANCE. Led by Jonathan Campbell and Austin Diaz, the queer, all-male company is known for its fearless athleticism and unashamed intimacy. Tackling topics related to male identity, the company was named “25 to Watch” by Dance Magazine who noted that Diaz and Campbell, “are making a unique mark on concert dance with highly original movement that pushes skill and stamina to the limit.”
