The evening length premiere of Cardinal Points at Atlas’ Intersections Festival in March, received another rave review. In 2013, Rebollar Dance received funding from Fairfax County’s Operating Support Grant and Metro Dance DC’s Commissioning Project with fiscal sponsorship by American Dance Institute.
ClancyWorks Dance Company is a collective of performing artists directed by Adrienne Clancy. The members of the company have more than 80 years collectively of dance and choreographic experiences. Together they have held major choreographic, performance, and administrative positions in numerous nationally recognized companies, festivals, and universities. The company produces choreography that is physically demanding, powerful, evocative and ultimately profoundly human. In their dancing, they lift, press, roll, leap, climb, resist, surrender, stack and build, using their bodies to construct poignant images that can shift perceptions of self and society. Now in its tenth season as a Maryland-based dance company, ClancyWorks performs its repertory regionally, nationally and internationally on the touring rosters of Pentacle, Maryland State Arts Council, Arts & Humanities Council of Montgomery County and Alternate ROOTS. Clancy’s work has been presented in Colombia, England, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
